Eight kilograms of cocaine discovered hidden in children’s books

Two young Perth men have been charged after a joint operation uncovered eight kilograms of cocaine hidden in children’s books. It will be alleged the drugs were imported into WA from the United Kingdom via the postal system, and were concealed inside two boxes of books including children’s books. On Thursday officers from the Australian Federal Police and WA Police executed search warrants in Thornlie; two men aged 20 and 21 were arrested and have been charged in connection with the drugs.
