200k of cannabis found on Jersey ferry as man from Liverpool arrested


A man from Liverpool has appeared in court after the discovery of a £200k cannabis haul.

Customs officers found 9.7kg of cannabis resin as they searched a vehicle arriving on the island of Jersey by ferry.

A “commercial quantity” of white powder – believed to be ecstasy – was also seized.

Officials from Jersey’s Customs and Immigration department found the drugs as they carried out checks on a ferry that arrived on the island on Friday.

The vehicle had boarded at Poole, in Dorset.

The discovery of the drugs led to the arrest of Lukasz Przydanek.

The 39-year-old was charged with the importation of cannabis and appeared before
