Drug-dealing golf caddie snared after police find gear in crashed car

A drug dealing golf caddie was snared after he crashed his car and fled the scene.

Stewart Rennie, of Kyle Crescent in Coylton, was found in possession of Class B drug cannabis with intent to supply it to others on December 20, 2018 at the A77, 200 yards south of Minishant.

Ayr Sheriff Court court heard the 43-year-old first time offender was going to share his stash with pals.

Rennie, a Turnberry golf caddie, also failed to provide breath tests to ascertain his ability to drive.

Fiscal Andrew Lazzarin said: “At 10.50pm police were called out to a report of a road traffic accident.

“Police attended and found the accused’s vehicle damaged.

“Witnesses already there told officers the direction of the field the driver had gone
