8 corps members renounce cultism, drug abuse at close of orientation in Anambra

By Vincent Ujumadu EIGHT members of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, deployed to Anambra State for their one-year mandatory national service have denounced their membership of cult groups.

Speaking during the closing ceremony of 2019 Batch ‘A’ orientation course at the Umunya, Oyi local government area camp yesterday, the NYSC state coordinator, Mr Kehinde Aremu, commended the team spirit among camp officials which, he observed, was the reason behind the decision of the corpse members.
He said: “We have confidence that they have also finally given up drugs, especially marijuana. We have every reason to believe that those who renounced cultism won’t go back to it.”.
