At a business premises on Nieuw-Zeelandweg in Amsterdam, the police confiscated thousands of kilos of non-edible shoarma meat together with the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA).

The meat turned out to be of such poor quality that it was no longer edible.

Near the building, the police also found a weed plantation. Thirteen kilos of hemp was seized. Heavy fireworks were also found. Three people were arrested.

In addition to the police and the NVWA, customs and the Social Affairs and Employment Inspectorate were also involved in the action.
