Maths graduate caught with heroin

An applied maths graduate caught with five deals of heroin last year was caught on another occasion stealing ice cream. Judge Patricia McNamara imposed a suspended jail term of two months on Mark O’Regan, aged 37, who pleaded guilty to two charges of having drugs for his own use and theft. O’Regan, who is presently living at St Vincent’s hostel, Anglesea Terrace, Cork, has taken on a methadone treatment course, his solicitor, Eddie Burke said.
