Cannabis firm Jacana taps into City’s green rush with float plan for 2019


A medical cannabis firm is mulling a listing on the London’s junior stock market this year as it taps into growing investor appetite for the drug, the Standard can reveal.  Founded by serial entrepreneur Alexandra Chong, 37, Jacana grows in northern Jamaica and completed its first deliveries to cannabis-testing firm Anandia in Canada late last year. Its investors include venture capitalists Eileen Burbidge and Bill Tai as well as former Microsoft executive Mich Mathews.
