Man whose story smuggling marijuana from Canada to Idaho was told by Rolling Stone killed in Hayden shooting – Mon, 25 Feb 2019 PST


The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Monday that the victim in Sunday’s fatal shooting in Hayden is Michael “Topher” Christopher Clark – a man who became famous after his odyssey of smuggling marijuana from Canada was detailed in a Rolling Stone article and movie. Clark, 45, was gunned down about 1:45 a.m. Sunday morning after a fight erupted outside The Tipsy Pine bar, 8166 N. Government Way. Scott M. White, 33, of Coeur d’Alene, was arrested in connection with the shooting.
