Doctor who gave CPR to his daughter instead of treating her friend who was in a worse state and later died from a heroin overdose says he was acting on ‘paternal instinct’ to save her life Lucas Adam Pike, 43, died of a heroin overdose in Adelaide in March 2016 He overdosed along with Athena Kyriacou at her father’s medical clinic Dr Jack Kerry was in the next room and rushed to resuscitate his daughter He agreed Mr Pike was in worse condition but thought he was too far gone  Fatherly instinct
