Acton medical pot shop ordered shut down

State marijuana regulators ordered an Acton medical marijuana shop to halt operations after inspectors found a slew of safety and health violations, from sanitation to labeling woes, that “pose an immediate or serious threat to the public health, safety, and welfare.”

A spokesperson for the Cannabis Control Commission (CCC) told the Herald that Mass Wellspring, a medical marijuana dispensary, was ordered “to cease and desist from cultivating, processing, and dispensing medical marijuana to patients from its Acton facility as the result of an unannounced inspection.”

State inspectors found that Mass Wellspring operators violated several medical marijuana regulations that “were determined to pose an immediate or serious threat to the public health, safety, and welfare. The violations include, but are not limited to, issues related to security, sanitation, waste disposal, and the labeling of marijuana products.”
