Saskatchewan cannabis delivery regulations preventing smartphone app business

Saskatchewan’s cannabis delivery regulations don’t seem to take technology into account, according to a new delivery company. Designated Delivery launched its Apple app-based ordering platform Thursday in Saskatoon and Kelowna, B.C.

A smartphone app launching in the coming months will allow users in Saskatoon and Kelowna to order alcohol and cannabis and have it delivered directly to their door.

The Designated Delivery will connect customers with liquor stores and marijuana dispensaries, allowing them to place, track and receive orders without leaving home – similar to SkipTheDishes.
