Hitting the $2m target for a Taranaki medicinal cannabis company could be on the cards as crowdfunder extended until February 14.
A Taranaki-based medical marijuana venture has raised more than $1.2 million to kick-start its business in the region. Greenfern Medicinal Marijuana Limited (GMM), based in Normanby, launched a crowdfunding campaign in December to garner financial support for the business. The crowdfunding campaign was due to close on Friday, but an extension had been granted to February 14 due to high investor demand.
More than $400,000 has been secured since Sunday, when the fund sat at about $820,000.
Well beyond the minimum target of $500,000 it hoped to raise, reaching the maximum target of $2m could be on the cards.
