Father-of-four hanged himself in Tesco Express


A father-of-four who was suffering from paranoia caused by cocaine use hanged himself in Tesco because he was convinced someone was ‘coming for him’.

Gareth Bickerstaffe, 34, died at a Tesco Express store in Oldham, Greater Manchester, on May 20 last year.

He climbed up onto the roof and started behaving erratically, prompting emergency services to rush to the store, where they later discovered he had hanged himself.
